In collaboration with Managers of Electric Transmission Project Communications & Construction, provide communications and outreach support to impacted property owners (residential, commercial, industrial and governmental) leading up to and during project construction. Continuously communicate the impact of projects to public stakeholders and act as a liaison between Dominion construction team and the community. Ability to be flexible, while identifying and handling changing and emerging priorities. The successful candidate will be able to build a rapport with internal and external stakeholders and have the ability to influence outcomes. Excellent research and problem solving skills, strong oral communication, writing , editing and interpersonal skills are a must. Experience with handling difficult and highly sensitive customer service situations. Diplomacy, tactfulness and negotiation skills are important in the role. Candidate will also coordinate fulfillment of forms, letters, customer correspondence and other required materials for distribution to various publics. Performs a variety of customer relations/customer service duties to ensure prompt processing of customer requests. 

Work closely with Construction process decision makers to coordinate outreach for upcoming projects. Participate in pre-construction meetings, and lead communications subcommittee meetings. Develop and assist with the implementation of Construction Communications plan. Notify all property owners in writing of project construction activities/before any significant construction activity occurs on or near their property. Collaborate with internal partners and/or third-party vendors to acquire, update and maintain mailing list of all project stakeholders. Coordinate Pre-Construction open houses and support community events. Meet and interact with property owners as needed to address project concerns. Prepare content for website and project dashboard. Up to 25% travel (Overnight and weekend work not required).

Ideally suited individual will provide flexible support in various roles and responsibilities - Understanding of some technical/engineering aspects is desirable but not required – Proficiency with basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Earth – Experience with handling difficult Customer Service situations – Excellent work prioritization and time management skills – Candidate will be wearing construction safety gear such as: hard hat, steel toe boots, safety vest and glasses when in the field. Up to 25% travel (Overnight and weekend work not required.)
