Responsibilities
 
  • Work with marketing business leadership on development of standardized financial and operational analysis and reporting, analysis of new projects and growth opportunities as well as ad-hoc analysis. Such analysis will include:
    • Traffic Analysis: thorough and constant analysis of all sources of traffic, trends, efficacy and efficiency, ultimately help optimize traffic that generates conversions by generic origin (search, social media, links, affiliates, etc.) and by specific origins (Google, Yahoo!, Bing, etc.). Strong emphasis on SEO and SEM analysis.
    • Website Analysis: in-depth understanding of website customer experience, bounce rates, average time spent, pageviews, unique users, repeat users, sales funnel, ultimately help optimize traffic to grow overall conversion rates.
    • Social Analysis: collect data from various social media tools and platforms and synthesize to provide a cross channel view of social media efforts. Measure, track, and evaluate brand and category commentary, social sentiment, trends, keywords, etc. through the use of diverse buzz marketing tools.
    • Develop valuable insights based on the findings
    • Understanding the correlation among the most important variables
    • Analyze and dissect sales funnel, drop-off areas, and how, who, and where customers are converted
    • Monitor, measure, evaluate and prepare reports on key conversion metrics and KPIs for marketing team.
  • Assistance with monthly closing and reporting process for marketing area.
  • Lead various process improvement initiatives
  • Assistance with the completion of annual budget and quarterly forecasting process
  • Interaction with parent company on various topics as needed
 
Qualifications
 
·         Ideal mix degree between marketing and finance – undergrad discipline in one with master focus in the other preferred.
·         Minimum 3 - 5 yrs demonstrated financial analysis experience.
  • Experience working in a marketing firm, or working with a marketing team preferred.
·         Overall 6+ yrs business experience preferred
·         Demonstrated skills – high performance orientation; strong customer focus skills; commitment to continuous process improvement; project management skills; organization and communication skills; problem solving and analytical skills;
·         IT skills include working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, and the overall ability to perform data query and analysis; IBM COGNOS experience a plus;  Tech-savvy, active and very familiar with all digital media: operating systems, social media, mobile platforms, blogging, etc.
