The Sr. Manager – IT (Corporate Applications) is responsible for the planning, development, and support of back-office systems, processes, and technologies that comprise the application portfolio.  The individual will manage a team of Technical Managers and System Analysts that maintain core business systems, perform enterprise wide upgrades, develop/implement new applications, and establish new processes according to our IT standards.  The individual will establish and maintain strong relationships with the Functional, Technical, and External Partners that will drive value across the organization through efficient, innovative and proactive management.  This position requires a dynamic individual that has the ability to manage multiple enterprise level projects simultaneously to meet the short and long-term goals.
The responsibilities of the position include the following:
  • Fosters collaboration and innovation.  Works across the IT and Functional teams to design and develop creative solutions that meet  business requirements;
  • Champions and delivers high visibility business and application based initiatives to successful completion while ensuring operational stability and sustainability remain uncompromised (Mergers and Acquisitions, Divestitures, Internal/SaaS/Mobile Applications, and Enterprise Upgrades to completion);
  • Assesses the impact of emerging technologies relative to strategic business needs and recommends their use in the company for current and future needs; 
  • Identifies and prioritizes the highest value projects while developing plans to implement.  Ensures the business and systems goals are successfully met;
  • Demonstrates commitment to business partner satisfaction.  Responds with a high level of professionalism and urgency;
  • Leads operational excellence through IT policy/procedure development, application support, and business process improvements;
  • Manages vendor relationships to ensure vendor performance meets or exceeds performance expectations as an extension of the applications team.   This includes hardware, software, and services including contract negotiations and management, vendor analysis and evaluations, RFI’s and RFP’s, etc.
  • Drives down costs through continual process improvements, team efficiency, automation/optimization, technology advancements and vendor negotiations;
  • Ensures effective incident and change management processes and audit controls are in place and followed that maximize uptime and protect our systems;
  • Supports Information Security and Governance initiatives.
