•         Manage a team of Oracle and SQL Server Database Administrators
•         In charge of planning, design, implementation and continued development of large data warehouse projects                 using the relational and multi-dimensional technology
•         Accountable for overall service level provided by database group to clients or development teams
•         Responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of complex functions of major database systems              including access, allocations, validity checks, security, documentation and statistical methodology
•         Participate in design and integration of major, complex systems through the database system
•         Lead and conduct complex backup, recovery and query tuning
•         Liaison between customers, technical teams and high-level executives
•         Responsible for evaluating software and hardware for project needs
•         Monitor overall standards and procedures
•         Train less senior personnel
•         Develop a growth and development plan for personnel

Required Skills
•         Requires a four-year degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent                       experience.  MS preferred.
•         Minimum of five years of DBA work experience including mastery of Oracle plus eight years of overall                           experience in information technology
•         Minimum of three years of Staff management experience
•         Experience using modeling tools such as Erwin
•         Working knowledge of Oracle 10g and 11g
•         Must be able to coordinate, manage, and participate in large database projects
•         Must be proactive and preventative in problem solving
•         Ability to perform complex DBA tasks (e.g.: create databases using complex structures; ensure data security             and integrity; generate complex database migrations)
•         Experience using SQL and PL/SQL or Java
•         Ability to write complex UNIX scripts and an understanding of the UNIX architecture
•         Can write backup and restore scripts and design a backup strategy
•         Experience monitoring and performance tuning databases
•         Experience in Data Warehousing database architectures required
•         Experience with SQL Server a plus
•         Working knowledge of OLAP desired
