V&V Test Engineer Verification Validation

Scope of Work:
- Perform review of documentation based on knowledge of Nuclear Regulator Commission Regulatory Guidelines such as RG 1.168, 1.152 as well as IEEE Standards 829, 1008, 1012, 1028, 1074, and 603.
- Perform requirements decomposition, fullfilment tracing and compliance matrix development.
- Write work instructions based on existing processes and requirements from IEEE standards.

Required skills / experience:
- Working knowledge and good understanding of Nuclear Regulatory Commission Regulatory Guidelines such as RG 1.168, 1.152
- Working knowledge and good understanding of national consensus standards of quality assurance such as IEEE 829, 1008, 1012, 1028, 1074, 7-4.3.2, 603
- Experience in Independent Verification & Validation
- Experience with requirements decomposition, fulfillment tracing and compliance matrix development
- Process compliance demonstration expertise
- Experience with nuclear plant licensing documents
- Experience in work instruction development
- Excellent written and communications skills
- Understanding of FPGA/ASIC design/verification languages (such as Verilog, VHDL)
- Nuclear systems experience


Standard Requirements/Responsibilities:
1. Perform engineering design and analysis, identify problems and propose operational solutions to projects and tasks that are partially defined and moderately complex in nature, requiring knowledge and experience within given disciplines.
2. Ensure proper controls are in place and document supporting evaluations and analyses.
3. Verify work of other engineers on assignments that range from basic to moderately complex in nature.
4. Communicate nature and status of work performed to appropriate Westinghouse management as well as designated customer engineering personnel.
5. Participate on project teams with internal and/or external representation. May lead teams on well-defined projects.
6. Prepare technical description section for various proposals, including cost benefit studies.
7. Propose and initiate test programs and evaluate results.
8. Identify and communicate areas for product/service improvements to management personnel.

Requirements
1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, related technical discipline or equivalent
2. Typically 3-7 years of applicable engineering experience is required. Academic study in applicable discipline may be used to satisfy some experience requirement.
3. PE license and the ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access at plant locations are desirable for selected positions but may not be required.
